Do you print hardcovers?
Paperback only. We do not print hardcovers. Dust jackets are available, with foiling and embossed UV.
What trim sizes do you print?
We print 5" × 8", 5.25" × 8", 5.5" × 8.5", 6" × 9".
What paper is the interior?
70 lb white paper. Interior paper is white only.
What is the cover stock?
Every book includes a pearl linen cover.
What is the smallest order?
12 books minimum per title.
How many pages can a book have?
Paperbacks can be 60 to 900 pages. Our max is 900 pages, which is about a 2.48 inch spine.
Can the interior have color pages?
Yes. Color interior pages are priced per page. List those pages when you send the files, and we will include them in the quote.
How much bleed should the file have?
Paperback interiors get 1/8 inch of bleed on the top, bottom, and outside edge of each page, with no bleed on the spine side. The file is 1/8 inch wider and 1/4 inch taller than the trim. A 5" × 8" page is a 5.125" × 8.25" file. A 5.25" × 8" page is a 5.375" × 8.25" file. A 5.5" × 8.5" page is a 5.625" × 8.75" file. A 6" × 9" page is a 6.125" × 9.25" file. Cover files still get 1/8 inch of bleed on every outer edge. Keep text and important art at least 1/8 inch inside the trim.
What is the hinge fold?
Hinge fold: the cover bends here, 0.25 inch from the spine. Keep foil out of this strip, because foil can crack when the cover folds. Keep important text out too. Keep spine text inside the spine safe area: 1/16 inch inside each spine edge, and 1/8 inch inside the top and bottom trim.
What is a duplex inside cover?
The inside of the cover is printed on both sides. Send that art the same size as the cover, with 1/8 inch of bleed on the outer edges, and with no spine or a white spine.
What edge styles do you offer?
Solid, pattern, and solo. We don't offer foil on book edges at this time, but we're always expanding!

Email us to reorder. Ask how long we keep your files, and we will tell you.
Can I pick the books up?
Local pickup is free at our Peoria warehouse during business hours (Mon to Fri, 7 AM to 5 PM Arizona time).
How does shipping work?
Shipping is quoted per order. Every order is packed with care. All of our products are bagged, then packed in double boxes with corner posts inside an outer double-walled box to help reduce damage during shipping.
How does payment work?
You can pay in full up front, or start with a 50% deposit. Production begins once at least 50% is paid, and any remaining balance is due when your order is done and ready to ship or pick up.
Do you send a proof?
Proofs are physical proofs only, with no digital proof approval.
What is the turnaround?
Our current turnaround is 2 to 3 weeks once we have print-ready files, and your approved physical proof if you ordered one. As a small shop, this can vary: during convention season or when we have larger orders in the queue, it may take longer, and other times orders may be finished sooner.
