With your order, send a copy of your Arizona TPT license (transaction privilege tax license). If you are out of state, send your state's resale certificate instead. How an order works

Estimate it
Use the book estimator or the comic estimator. The number updates as you choose the trim, the pages, and the finish.
- 2
Send it to us
Send the estimate with your name and email. We'll write back to confirm the job. With your order, send a copy of your Arizona TPT license (transaction privilege tax license). If you are out of state, send your state's resale certificate instead. We keep that copy on file for wholesale.

We confirm the files
Share a Google Drive or Dropbox link. We look the files over by email and tell you if anything needs a change.

Physical proof, then print
Proofs are physical proofs only. Once that proof is approved, we print. You can pay in full up front, or start with a 50% deposit. Production begins once at least 50% is paid, and any remaining balance is due when your order is done and ready to ship or pick up.

Meet the owners
What started as just the two of us has grown into a small mom and pop shop with a close knit team, right in the heart of Peoria, Arizona. Printing since 2013.
Stephen Crawford
Owner · Head of Production
Stephen runs production at Hero & Villain Designs, from prepress and file checks to foil, printed edges, and finishing. He started the shop out of a love for comics and well made books, and grew it from a home studio into our print shop in Peoria. Every order passes through his hands before it ships.
Dr. Krysta Crawford
Co-Owner · Author Liaison
Dr. Krysta Crawford co-owns Hero & Villain Designs with Stephen. She is a pediatric nurse practitioner with her doctorate, a mom and wife, and a published author of romantasy, paranormal romance, and fantasy comics. You'll find her helping in the print shop warehouse and at author shows.
